Your options for the shell, frame and upholstery
Personalise your giroflex 151! We have summarised the design options for you here. Find out what suits you best.
A well-designed seat
Plastic seat shell
The seat shells are produced from high-quality polypropylene. With a glass fibre content of 20%, this chair combines maximum stability with minimum weight. The surface is matt and slightly structured. It comes in the shades graphite grey and magnesium white.
Moulded beech plywood
The seat shell is moulded from beech plywood. The material is around ten millimetres thick for optimal stability. The surface retains its natural quality and colour. The wood is protected by a matt clear varnish.
Sitting more comfortably couldn’t be easier. Add partial upholstery to your seat shell. An upholstery cushion with 10-mm-thick foam can be finished in the cover of your choice.
If seat upholstery is not enough, why not also opt for the optional backrest upholstery with the wooden seat shell. The upholstery is not only comfortable. It also adds an additional design accent.
Cover materials and colours
Play around with structures and colours. Six different fabrics and one artificial leather are available. The wide spectrum of colours offers an unbeatable degree of design freedom. Discover your favourite cover.
A sturdy basis
The lightweight frame is made of just 2 mm-thick steel tubing with a diameter of 18 mm. The surface is powder-coated in the colours magnesium white and black or features a high-quality chromed finish. The ends are completed with either felt or plastic glides. The four polyurethane anti-slip stoppers under the seat ensure that the chairs can be stacked safely and without scratching. The armrests of the armchair are made from a polypropylene glass fibre mix. Their quality is equivalent to that of the plastic seat shells. They come in black.
The striking frame is made from steel wire with a diameter of 12 mm. For the surface finish, you can choose between powder coating (magnesium white, black) or chrome. If necessary, felt and plastic glides are clipped onto the wire. A plastic tube in the seat area protects the chairs from slipping and damage when stacked.
